SETTING THE VINE NURSERY
Preparation
of the soil: After deep ploughing, organic improvement and disinfection,
we earth up the soil, spread a chemical conditioner and set a plastic
mulching.
Planting:
We pierce the plastic according to the required density and manually place
the vines into the soil.
Irrigating:
We abundantly spray the vines to eliminate air traps and avoid root asphyxia.
CULTIVATING AND MAINTAINING YOUR VINE NURSERY
Tilling:
Each week, we work the surface of the soil with a cultivator (hoe), to
eliminate weeds, aerate the soil and ease the penetration of sprayed water.
The use of chemical herbicides may be necessary.
Irrigation:
We regularly spray the soil to foster the growing of roots and shoots
until they reach the required size.
Treatment:
We also frequently use preventive or curative plant-protecting agents
to fight vine pests such as downy mildew, oidium and grapevine leafhoppers.
