ITALIA (White)

Budding: Average (a few days after Chasselas).

Ripeness: 3rd stage, 4 weeks after Chasselas (i.e. around the end of August in optimal conditions).

Vigor: High. Light pruning guarantees high productivity.

Production: High (8 to 10 kilograms per vine-stock). Large, cylindro-conical and straggly bunches of grapes. Ellipsoidal, large, amber-yellow grapes. Rosy when mature. Thick skin. Fleshy pulp. Crunchy and slightly musky taste.

Conclusion: This is a vigorous variety characterized by its high quality, productivity and good conservation on vine-stock. Traditionally preserved in alcohol. Highly suitable for trellis works and pergolas.
